Summary: We successfully represented a hospital and its medical staff in a series of hearings to confirm summary suspension of an anesthesiologist. The physician's actions also were investigated by the New York Health Department Office of Professional Medical Conduct and, following a hearing, she received a censure and reprimand with the requirement for additional MCLE. When the physician appealed the matter to the New York Public Health Council, the actions of the hospital were confirmed.
