Linda practices in the areas of business, employment, real estate and health care transactional and litigation matters. She represents physician practices, hospitals and specialized health care entities, advising clients on transactional and regulatory matters concerning HIPAA, HITECH, ARRA, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance, New York State privacy and security law, FTC “red flag” issues, electronic medical records, and FDA compliance. She handles physician arrangements, emergency on-call agreements, medical staff agreements, exclusive service agreements, and physician employment and deferred compensation agreements. Linda has also represented clients with respect to handling the purchase and sale of businesses, including medical practices. She advises clients with respect to formation and governance of medical practices, buy-sell agreements, insurance, reimbursement of services, internet advertising, employee termination, executive employment contracts, and telemedicine. Her commercial real estate experience includes transactions for purchase, sale, leasing and refinancing. Linda’s corporate transactional experience includes technology law, joint ventures, software licensing, construction and business termination.
Linda's litigation experience includes representation of clients in complex corporate and commercial disputes in the areas of employee relationships; attorney, accountant and appraiser malpractice; officer and director liability; creditors' rights; product liability; securities fraud; and enforcement of contracts and restrictive covenants.
Before joining ICRH, Linda practiced for 11 years at Reid & Priest in New York City, for three years in-house at the chemical manufacturing company BASF, and for three years as a trial attorney and officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. Most recently, Linda was a solo practitioner and advised entrepreneurial clients in matters related to charitable organizations, computer and internet law, and medical equipment development and distribution.
