Rich focuses his practice in the areas of health care, business, commercial and real estate transactions. He has counseled a wide variety of clients, including hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, lending institutions, affordable housing corporations, contractors, and individuals with respect to the full range of corporate, regulatory, contract, construction, and real estate matters.
Rich has substantial experience in tax-exempt financing for health care facility projects, mortgage and asset-based financing, and acquisition structuring and financing. Rich also practices in the fields of charitable giving, estate planning (drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies). Rich also advises clients in matters relating to the probate and administration of estates.
Rich has been an adjunct faculty member of the Albany Law School of Union University, where he taught a real estate transaction course to upper-level law students. He also served on the Committee on Not-for-Profit Entities and Concerns of the Real Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Prior to entering private practice, Rich served as a law clerk to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department.
